Laminated Insulating GlassKey parameter selection
1. Glass thickness: Single-layer glass is commonly used for 3-19mm, and the laminated part is usually symmetrical (such as 5+5, 6+6).
2. Laminated film: The standard thickness of PVB is 0.38mm, and multi-layer stacking can increase safety (such as 0.76mm = 2-layer 0.38mm).
3. Hollow layer thickness: 9-15mm is a common sound insulation choice, and excessive thickness may reduce insulation performance.
4. Glass type: Toughened Glass (T), Low-E glass (relief heat insulation), colored glazed glass, etc. can be selected.
5. Special functions: It can be combined with inert gas (such as argon), warm edge spacer, etc.
Our factory's Laminated Insulating Glass processing process
1) Selection of glass original sheet: Select float glass, Toughened Glass, Low-E glass, etc. according to the needs, and the thickness is usually 5-19mm. The original sheet must be free of scratches, bubbles, or impurities, and clean before cutting.
2) Cutting and edge grinding: Cut glass according to customer customized size requirements, and use a CNC cutting machine to ensure accuracy.
3) Grind the cut glass edges (cavator or fine grinding) to prevent stress concentration.
4) Partial processing of laminated glass: Clean the glass, use deionized water and a roller brush cleaning equipment to thoroughly clean the glass surface to avoid residual particles affecting the glue.
5) PVB/SGP film laying: lay PVB (polyvinyl butyral) or SGP (ionic intermediate layer) film between two glasses, with a thickness usually ranging from 0.38mm to 2.28mm.
6) Pre-pressing (vacuum): Put the glass and film combination into the pre-pressor, and initially bond it through vacuum and heating (about 100-150℃) to exhaust the air.
7) Final pressure of autoclave: The pre-pressed glass is sent into the autoclave and thoroughly glued at high temperature (120-150℃) and high pressure (10-15bar), for about 2-4 hours.
8) Insulated Glasses Partial processing: Prepare aluminum spacer strips, select aluminum spacer strips (need to be filled with 3A molecular sieve desiccant), bend them into frames according to the size, and connect the four corners with insertion angles or bent angles.
9) Butyl glue coating: Apply butyl glue (first seal) on both sides of the aluminum frame to bond the glass and the spacer to prevent gas leakage.
10) Combination sheet: Combine laminated glass with another piece of glass (or another piece of laminated glass) with an aluminum frame to form a hollow layer. The thickness of the hollow layer is generally 6-24mm.
11) Second seal: Use silicone glue or polysulfide glue (second seal) to seal along the edge of the glass to ensure structural strength and long-term airtightness.
12) Post-treatment and detection l Curing: The second sealant needs to be cured under a constant temperature and humidity environment (usually more than 24 hours).
Fill inert gas (optional): If you need to improve the insulation performance, fill the hollow layer with argon or krypton gas, and check the airtightness after inflation.
Appearance inspection: No bubbles, degumming, or impurities.
Performance test: dew point test (≤-40℃), sealing, impact resistance (sand glued part).
Dimensional tolerance: Comply with GB/T 11944-2012 and other standards.
Our factory Laminated Insulating Glass key process control points
Patch part: Avoid film contamination and control the temperature and humidity of the autoclave.
Hollow part: Butyl glue is continuous and has no breakpoints, and the two sealing thickness is uniform.
Environmental requirements: The workshop is clean and tidy, the temperature is 23±2℃, and the humidity is ≤30%.
Quality standards of our factory Laminated Insulating Glass
It must comply with national standards: GB/T 11944-2012Insulated Glasses, GB 15763.3-2009 laminated glass.
Passed the CCC certification for national security glass mandatory certification
Core features of our factory Laminated Insulating Glass
1. Safety: The existence of the laminated layer makes the glass highly impact-resistant and will not fall off even if it is broken. It is suitable for high-rise buildings or explosion-proof scenarios.
2. Sound insulation performance: The hollow layer can effectively block high-frequency noise (such as traffic sound), the laminated layer absorbs low-frequency noise (such as machine roar), and the comprehensive sound insulation effect is better than ordinary Insulated Glasses.
3. Thermal insulation: The hollow layer reduces heat conduction, and combined with Low-E coating, it can further improve energy saving effect and reduce air conditioning/heating energy consumption.
4. UV protection: PVB film can filter more than 99% of ultraviolet rays, protecting indoor furniture from fading.
5. Wind pressure resistance: The multi-layer structure enhances the overall strength of the glass and is suitable for glass designs in areas with high wind pressure or large plates.
The difference between our factory Laminated Insulating Glass and ordinary Insulated Glasses
characteristic | Laminated Insulating Glass | Normal Insulated Glasses |
Security | High (proof of crushing and splashing) | Low (fragments are prone to falling off) |
Soundproofing | High frequency + low frequency double barrier | Mainly block high frequency noise |
UV barrier | More than 99% | Rely on coating, about 60%-80% |
price | Higher | Lower |
